From Sea View, the white sands of Patnem beach are a 100-metre walk past quaint village houses and coconut groves. The beach is not crowded, relatively pristine and is a sunbather's paradise with no crowds to disturb. There are few locals providing deck chairs, umbrellas, massages and of course the famous Goan restaurant and bar snacks.
If you are lucky or persistent, sea dolphins can be seen just off the coast and sometimes, up close near the breakwater.
The water is pleasant throughout the day and is a refreshing break from the sun. A beach secret; the waves make for enjoyable bodysurfing and with the wind up, strap on for some kite surfing.
Patnem beach is connected to Palolem beach by a small path, which hugs the edge of the cove. It is also a good spot for sunset pictures and cosy times.
